As part of the Let's Ride the Lakes event at Brockhole, the ride commences with an exhilarating sail across Windermere on the unique Bike Boat to access the quiet western lake shore.

We then head north along the West Shore Trail to Wray Castle where Beatrix Potter took childhood holidays before continuing on the hawkshead Trail as far as the little-known Blelham Tarn. Here we stop for a picnic lunch (bring a bite to eat) before heading back.
If time permits, we may also call at Wray Castle again for some refreshment.
